Physical Description: |
Myrixi in her human form looks a lot like someone who has just come out of a shower--permanently. Her light brown hair (in the summer it gains blonde streaks) is forever slicked back against her head, and her warm, tanned-looking skin constantly glossed with a light sheen of what may as well be sweat. She has small, beady eyes and a mouth that is never fully closed. Her body is all curves, and when she walks, she moves in a mesmerizing fashion. She only wears as much as she has to in this form--she doesn't like clothing. In her half-half state, Myrixi begins to reveal her true form. Here her lower half turns into one very long, snakelike body. Along the sides run rows of robin's egg blue dots--these secrete copious amounts of slime whenever she's feeling aggravated, or when she's otherwise highly emotional. This part of her body is a shade darker from her upper body, and mottled with dark brown spots. Running the ridge about a fifth from the end of her body is a thin, frilly fin just a shade lighter then her human-like skin. Her upper body remains the same. In her hagfish form, words can't really describe her repulsive appearance. Imagine a giant worm: five feet long and about as thick as ones torso, in mottled shades of grey-brown and tan. Then imagine the head-end tipped with a number of boneless tentacles, jawless, and lined along the bottom with rows of piercing teeth. Myrixi retains her two lines of slime-secreting dots when she reaches this form, but loses or reduces many of her senses, save for touch and smell. Look here for an example hagfish image. |
Personality: | Despite her surname, Myrixi is certainly not a man-eater. She doesn't particularly like the thought of killing things, though in the past she has had to defend herself for being what she is. She craves acceptance, and usually keeps to her human form because of this. She loves to talk to people--her clan was a very social one, and while she may have been exempt from their close-knit ways, she wasn't from their openly social way of life. She's also a touchy-feely person, though not necessarily clingy. More often then not, when Myrixi speaks to someone, she will place a hand on their arm, or shoulder, or whatever. This may be because the sense of feeling is the one she uses most often in her fish form, or because it helps to amplify her minor telepathic abilities. |
