Appearance:	Gainai' is a stocky creature for her race and rank, only vaguely resembling the Coelophysis that her form is based on. Her bright, yellow-green hide is covered with many tattoos, each of which denotes experiences from her life or display portions of her personality. They also give clues to her rank, gender and species, so that one can know at a glance exactly who she is. For most purposes she prefers her anthro form (she has two), in which she stands more upright and has better use of her hands then when in her Raw, Coelophysis-like body. She reverts to the Raw form when she is gravely injured, has need for speed and stealth, or when she is so overcome with emotions that she cannot retain her more dignified form. While in her preferred form, she stands 5' 11. Her tail is shorter in this form, and she can use it almost like a stool due to its rigidity. Her legs are just as long and powerful looking as when she's in the Raw, and each elongated toe is tipped with black claws. She wears no clothing if she can help it, preferring to display her tattoos. When she does put something on, it's usually brightly coloured spandex shorts.
Personality:	Intensely curious about anything new, even from an early age, Gainai' has chosen a life of isolation and exploration over companionship. While she is proud of her race, she is more so of herself and her abilities--so much so that she's gone past being simply egocentric. Like most of her kind, she adores fighting, but she prefers to use words over tooth and claw. She is well versed in several languages, and quick to learn new ones as she encounters them. She is a scholar and an adventurer, but she is far from the image of a wise, open-minded Compy. She's incredibly bull-headed, refusing to accept opinions over her own unless they are accompanied by solid theories and facts.

Personality:	Merlass is intelligent, opinionated, and curious, just as much so as her bond. She's excellent at picking up on nearby living things and their levels of sentience, though she always has her spin on things. She's incredibly loyal to Gainai', and always willing to help with whatever the scientist needs, but when the two of them differ in opinion (and this is often), the arguments rage fast and furious. To this day neither of them can honestly say that they've won more arguments then the other, though they'll try to convince anyone who has the foolishness to ask. One thing that Merlass is uncontrollably drawn to is anything shiny. If a prisoner or an opponent has anything reflective on them, she has one philosophy: It's mine! In battle, she's a fearless blur of tooth, tongue and claw, pulling out the wounded and bringing back prizes from the dead when she can. She believes that she has no limits, though sometimes she has has to be painfully reminded that she is only dragon--even if she is different from the rest. One thing she can't stand is being held down in one place for a long period of time. She needs to wander and see new things. When things lose all challenge to her, she especially gets bored and irritable and won't hesitate to let Gainai' know it.
